![]() This has been a beautiful fall in Texas – the prettiest I have seen in many years. Of course, there are parts of the country that always have a beautiful fall: Colorado, East Tennessee, and the Shenandoah Valley. But in Texas, our fall often lasts about a week while our trees lose their leaves without any color change. With record rainfall this year and a long transition from summer, our trees have put on a real show. It has been very nice to have all the colors around us for a change. It makes one really appreciate God’s creation on a daily basis. I had the privilege of living on Colorado for five years in the late 1970’s. I don’t believe anyone can honestly deny God’s creation while living in Colorado. We need to more often recognize the beauty God has put around us and be thankful for it. And then, some years like this one, God just grabs us with extraordinary color around us and says, “Pay attention and be grateful.” “Thank you Father for this great reminder.”
